10 Fabulous Thoughts on Motivation

Posted by Jeannie Bauer in Life Skills
Sometimes we all need a little help to get started. I did some blog-hopping today and found a few great tidbits of insight to help pick ourselves up and get ourselves moving. Here are my favorite 10 entries and posts on the subjects of motivation, persistence and follow-through, in no particular order:

1. In the CoreCharacter blog, I found a simple, simple, simple, but very profound entry that's worth sharing and thinking about. Check it out here: Either You Can Do Something About It Or You Cannot.

2. OK, this one made me laugh out loud, and yet the message was right on target! Have a look at The #1 Way to Eliminate FEAR: Chant This Mantra Daily! from RadicalHop.com.

3. At StevePavlina.com, Steve explores How to Squash Negative Thought Patterns. When you learn Steve's tricks, your new positive thought patterns will automatically supercharge your motivation levels.

4. At the Out of Bounds blog, Joi has collected together a few little poems and rhymes she calls Motivational Minis that will make you smile and kickstart your motivation.

5. Phil Gerbyshak challenges you to Dream a BIG Dream in his Make It Great blog.

6. At the Success Begins Today! blog, John has published The 5 Minute Success Challenge to help us set up and implement reasonable and achievable goals on an ongoing basis. A great tool to focus your mind and your follow-through!

7. In the Motivation on the Run blog, Larry wrote about his search for a new acronym to serve as a goal setting memory hook based on the word SMART. See what he and his readers came up with using the acronym SMARTER.

8. Do you sometimes become sidetracked when you confuse Progress vs Perfection? Read this enlightening post at The Engaging Brand - the blog.

9. See Persistence is a state of mind at VicJohnson.com and learn how persistence can be the great equalizer in your own formula for success.

10. Dave Navarro writes the Million Dollar Leverage blog where he offers many powerful thoughts on personal development. I found his post on Giving Yourself Permission to be Imperfect especially insightful in examining our own self-sabotaging habits.
